Chalk's around 13% more porous than standard soils, meaning – for example – the pitch will drain faster, doesn't need to be watered so often and so on. It's also enabled a giant eraser to be attached to the roof. This can be lowered after a particularly disappointing move – say a pass that goes straight into touch – and that move can literally be 'erased' from the game, as if it had never happened.
