More and more suggestions and rumours that an announcement is coming this weekend that he is stepping down.

the prospect of him carrying on is unthinkable tbh and those around him have a duty of care not to allow him to go on, for his own sake as much as for their country.

It’s the right thing for him to do. A nice guy, but the team is always bigger than the individual. It may not be enough to stop Trump who is on the crest of a wave but it at least gives a chance for someone else ( Harris ?) to run.The question is whether the Americans are ready for a female President.
