Dear Seagulls, this thanks has been a long time coming, and I apologise for that. But all of us at the Argyle Fans Trust have been bowled over by the great support we have received from you: money, emails, turning up at our games (poor sods).. you have been magnificent and we can't thank you enough.

You all know what it is like when things are at there bleakest. That is where we are now. The two relegations are almost irrelevnt. We are peering right over the edge. The Administrator has played a compete stinker, we are being threatened with liquidation by the hour by the chief partner in the Administrator's office becasue he has racked up so many fees that they can't be accommodated in the deal, which he has contiunuously extended to allow a small time crook to get some dirty money from the back of his sofa.

In the meantime, a reasonable bid has been sidelined and teh Administrator has said he wil lliquidate rather than consider this bid as too much time has elapsed.

It is a tale of utter and complete incompetence on a continental scale. Of course brinkmanship is the order of the day but these people are so ignorant and uncaring about a club - OK we have never scaled the heights of the league (yet :D)but with a proud history as a comunity based club for 125 years.

Anyway, great things have come out of this - a fanbase united with players and staff, a resolve to emerge in one way or another and rebuild if we have to and strong links with fellow football fans in oterh clubs, like yours.

So, as you go about the most exciting season in your (recent anyway) history, please take all of our best wishes with you and thanks once again.

PS - how did you manage to get decent performances out of Ashley Barnes?

There is still a number of people (the uneducated ones) on here that don't think that he performs!

I would say that as members of the Class of 2004,Plymouth & Brighton have an awful lot of time and respect for each other-especially from Fans United in 1997,an idea originally of Plymouth-often saw the Plymouth fixture as a good one, with a club with genuine fans-good luck down there.

Since we have now climbed to our promised land it is still terribly humbling to hear of ongoing problems elsewhere and Plymouth more than anywhere, the tinder that started the flames of Fans Utd and helped to save us from complete ruin. As someone has commented, call the seagulls and we'll answer.

Good luck Peter and all the fans of a great friendly club.

The administrators dont give a toss just as long as they have wangled their fees. Maybe the reason why staff and players still haven't been paid their wages is the new owners will have to stump up when they take over or the worse case scenario of the club being liquidated means the only beneficiaries financially will be the administrators.
Fans United will never be defeated.

It's scandalous that these dickheads are allowed to bring another proud club to it's knees. Fans united are right behind your fight.

You are not alone Peter, we will be right behind you in your struggle. These money men don't understand or care that our clubs are nearly as close to us as family. What a lot have found out, is that we the fans will never let our clubs die. You don't deserve to be treated in this way, but keep the faith, you WILL win in the end.
