Surely it is in Liverpool's interest to make us think he is a first team candidate? If the perception is that he is surplus to requirements there then this would logically lead to any club making reduced offers accordingly. Could be simple kidology.

Rodgers wants to evaluate him in pre-season. 3 possible options are name him in the 25 , send him back out on a season long loan after giving him a contract extension or make him available to the highest bidder.

Does anyone think tex can still cut it in the prem? A bad day at the office today & I do appreciate it was his worst game for a while but he won't make it. Which could be good news for us (although I doubt it sadly)
