Can anyone tell me how to change a gif to a jpeg as i'm a computer dunce and I don't know what i'm doing

A smilie is a GIF file
Tbh I don't think you will be able to convert as a GIF file is usully moving, where as a JPEG is a still image, if that makes any sense.

Well this rather depends on what software you have on your machine. When you try and open it right click on it and select the 'Open with' option and then see if anything will ! PM me if that doesn't work.

Theres animated and non-animated GIF files; you can't convert animated ones to JPEG. You can convert non-animated ones, even Paint will do it.

MS Paint should work. Open it up using that programme and then click save as and change the file format.
