I think Gus will play Noone and Buckley.

I'd like to see him try a three-up front like this:

Ankergren

Calde
Dunk
Greer
Painter

Bridcutt
Navarro
Vincelot

Noone
CMS
Buckley

Its a good looking side there is no doubt, more of an away team perhaps.. ?

May be alone here but seems to me like he's getting increasing dodgy with his arms ... dunno but it worries me
Not alone at all, watching highlights vs Saints, he had a shocker and hasn't impressed me once this year, league 1 standard that's all. Put Reyes at LB when he's fit and have Vincelot on the bench as defensive cover.

Painter looked out of his depth against Saints.

Coventry won't be a walk over by any means, we can't concede more penalties but like someone mentioned Dunk and Greer dangerously close to yellow card bans

Ankergren

Calderon Greer Dunk Vincelot
Buckley Bridcutt Vicente Navarro Noone
Mackail-Smith

That would be my preferred line-up, with either of the wingers potentially making way for Hoskins and switching to a 4-4-2 later in the game.

Seriously, what is it with people thinking Vicente can play central midfield in a 4-4-2?
I almost hope Gus does it just so people see what a bad idea it is and why.

Ankergren
Calderon Greer Dunk Painter
Navarro Bridcutt
Noone Buckley LuaLua
Mackail-Smith

Brezovan, Vincelot, Vicente, Hoskins, Barnes

Depends on fitness etc but that's what I'd like to see.

Yeah that's close but when vicente and reyes are fit:
Ankergren
Calderon Greer Dunk vincelot
-------Reyes-Bridcutt-------
buckley--------------noone
--------vicente-------
-----------CMS----------
For me this will be perfect

10. Sparrow
11. Vicente

4-4-2 Play Noone if Vicente isn't fit to start. CMS needs support, Paynter hasn't helped in that respect so Barnes gets another go. Vincelot has more heading ability than Painter which may be of use against Platt. The rest pick themselves.

Yep I was going to say, with Jara and Vicente fully fit that's possibly our best team (I still think LuaLua at his best is better than Noone though).

I see no reason to doubt that Adam El Abd could play just in front of the back four thus stopping players coming through to Dunk and Greer and this would allow Bridcutt to play further forward

I really can't understand the need for El Abd to play midfield, it really is horses for courses we have a squad packed with midfielders and yet there is a call to play a defender there.

Next we will all be monaing that we have created jack sh*t chances when we have got 5 defenders and a goal keeper on the pitch and just 5 players with the potential to push on and one of those is Bridcutt who is a holding midfielder.

I hate to say but I reckon Gus will play one up and pack midfield as he doesn't want to lose. Bit dull but we have done it before.

I don't get all the hatred towards Harley, I think he will become a good player for us and will probably be named in the 16 on Saturday, whether you like it or not.

If Painter, Paynter and Navarro start tomorrow it will be another poor display. These players are very poor players and not what we need. They dont suit our style of play and if anything hinder the players who want to get the ball down and play.

I certainly dont want to see Bridcutt and Navarro in the middle as a few have suggested, especially at home.

I would like to see Vincelot, Harley and Hoskins replace those 3. Admittedly Harley has been somewhat of an enigma but he has something good in him and can produce moments of class, its just about producing it regularly.

We need to move on from the likes of Painter and Paynter and Navarro, and quick!!

Navarro was excellent against Barnsley. He moves into space and uses the ball simply and well, I have no problem with him starting alongside Bridcutt. His movement alone makes Bridcutts job a lot easier.
