Based on how you've voted in TLOs polls, how would your Team of the Decade for the Albion line up?

Mine would be:

GK: Michel Kuipers

RB: Paul Watson
CB: Danny Cullip
CB: Guy Butters
LB: Jimmy McNulty

RW: Paul Brooker
CM: Steve Sidwell
CM: Paul Reid
LW: Alexandre Frutos

S: Bobby Zamora
S: Nicky Forster

If we're going for subs as well, I'd have:

- Ben Roberts
- Paul McShane
- Kerry Mayo
- Gary Hart
- Darren Currie
- Richard Carpenter
- Glenn Murray

The 100% unofficial NSC polls (thus far) have chosen the following for their Albion XI of the Noughties...

Kuipers (Beasant)

Watson
Cullip (Morgan)
Butters
Mayo

Currie
Sidwell
Carpenter
Brooker (Hart)

Zamora
Forster

How many of those did you vote for? Eight for me. (My choices in brackets)

Some nostalgia-tinged glasses here for Brooker. I remember people moaning about him constantly when he was here for a) his reluctance to get stuck in, b) his propensity to go missing during November to February and c) his inability to deliver decent crosses. A few years later he's one of our best players. Strange, how time changes our views...

My team

Roberts
Watson
McShane
Hinshelwood (pre-injury)
Harding
Hart
Carpenter
Sidwell
Currie
Zamora
Forster

I agree.

Brooker could be maddening. On his day, when he felt like it, he was fantastic. When he wasn't on his game (about as many times as when he was on his game), he'd be a waste of space.

Call me cynical, but he seemed to reserve his best games for us when it appeared that someone else was coming in for him (was it Leicester he went to...?).
