Worthing
Did I imagine it? I thought the practice of displaying sweets and treats at the checkout was banned or to be more accurate they were about to be banned but the supermarkets promised to self-regulate themselves and stop this practice on health grounds. Well it seems to be being ignored generally as there are masses of them at most stores.
Same with the promise to reduce giant bars of sweets. They just called them sharing bars and carried on regardless careless of what they are doing to our children.

Then again am I advocating a nanny society and should we make our own choices

I don't think its banned I think some stores made the choice not to do it and tempt the parents with interest free loans instead, its all opium for the people anyway. They should cut to the chase and sell drugs on the way out
