Well its a lovely day here in Brighton, if its like this across the county what a day to be sitting in a deck chair at the stunning castle ground.

What a big game both sides desperate for the win and we are without the spin king and the young all rounder.

SCCC today announce the following squad as they take on Hampshire at Arundel tomorrow in the : CJ Adams*, RG Aga, WAT Beer, CD Collymore, MW Goodwin, CD Hopkinson, RJ Kirtley, JD Lewry, RSC Martin-Jenkins, CD Nash, MJ Prior+, OP Rayner, and MH Yardy.

This is the Hampshire team that just lost to Lancashire;
Brown, Carberry, Crawley, Lumb, Ervine, Pothas, Mascarenhas, Lamb, Tremlett, Kleinveldt, Tomlinson

Mark Robinson, Professional Cricket Manager, will choose between Aga and Beer tomorrow morning following an inspection of the wicket. Mushtaq Ahmed continues to recover after a second knee operation. Luke Wright suffered a fracture to the small finger of his left hand during fielding practice with the England squad at Lord's on Friday .

• This will be the fifth meeting of the teams at Arundel Castle – in the previous four meetings, both sides have won once, with two matches drawn.

Carl Hopkinson needs 84 runs for 2,000 Career & Sussex First-Class Runs. Come on Hoppo what a game for a big innings.

In theory on the basis that Arundel and Horsham have short boundaries?

And to alloe Mushy to skittle them out in the final innings... oh :blush:

It's not like the boundaries get longer as the match progresses.

Batting looks woefully weak. I would only back the top 5 to reach 30+, while RMJ, Hoppo, Rags and Rayner look like a weak middle order/ long tail. But then again their bowling attack looks no great shakes either.

Important game to win with them at the base of the table.

It's odd this season - a couple of wins and any of the teams at the bottom would be challenging for the title, but I just don't see us turning it around quickly enough - after all we've only won 4 matches in all competitions so far this season... :nono:

RMJ and Hoppo were the only ones in the first innings against Lancashire that seemed to have any idea on how to bat.

Aga seems a bit like Rana to be able to get quick runs. He started out as a batsman.
