If you are not going to Crewe then for goodness sake get down to the County Ground Saturday and support the Champions. If they reach the magic 504 and win it will be a County Championship record score in a second innings for a win.

Besides the sun will be shining; the harveys or carlsberg will be great.

C'mon support the boys.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
All this week the County Ground is hosting a week packed with cricket with the annual Hove Festival at the County Ground culminating in a special Family Day this Sunday.

The week started with a floodlit Pro 40 win against Gloucestershire then from Wednesday 8 to Saturday 11 the campaign to stop some northern county whinging about how unlucky they have been over the past five decades or more by letting them finally win the Liverpool Victoria County Championship continues with Sussex loosing to Warwickshire by an enormous margin.

The week will culminate in a Pro 40 battle against neighbouring rivals Hampshire this Sunday. For this match the doors will open earlier than usual at 11am to allow spectators to make full use of all the activities on offer. These will include an open ground policy where members' areas will be open to all, there will be guest summer beers and a BBQ, live music, a bouncy castle, face painting, an exclusive junior member autograph signing session with a player. There will even be a race of mascots led by Sussex's own Sid the Shark and children under 16 will also get in absolutely free for this day!

We look forward to seeing you at the County Ground on Sunday!
