Damn, gonna be denied the opportunity to see the true 'little master' undeniably one of a handful of players in the modern area to have acheived the status of legend.

Still I dare see I'll see him plenty more times this season

shame Tendulkar's not playing either

(someone had to do it)

Saw some of this today - my kids' first visit to the County Ground. They liked playing ball in the lunch interval the best...still, it's a start.

Anyone know the Sussex team? The one that Lord B put up is wrong as it doesn't include Rayner (and he's definitely playing as he bowled) and the BBC has a team of 12 players. It's a bit of a mystery this one.

England offcast Yardy (fools) came back today and is captain from Sunday. The 4 day status makes it a first class game? ? ? ???

Working yesterday and today, but looking forwards to whatever and whoever and hoping for good weather Monday & Tuesday

India seem to be enjoying the batting practice.

Lunch - Day 2

VVS Laxman 80* (146b 11x4)
Yuvraj Singh 31* (86b 4x4)

From Cricinfo:-

Match State: Lunch - Day 2 . It was a quiet session. The ball swung around a bit in the morning and both the batsmen chose caution over bravado. The bowling was better compared to yesterday. They had wasted by bowling too many short ones and when they were full, they were wide off the mark. Not so much today. Saqlain came on late and is yet to really settle down.
