I think it would be good to get a cricket bat sawn off at the shoulders leaving a width of about 3 inches and then putting our top order in up against a bowling machine set at about 85mph.... oh, and without wearing a box, surely that would focus some minds into getting bat on ball ?

Or a stick of rhubarb like Boycotts mum would use.

Yardy? I don't think so, not any more, hardly an inspirational leader of men.

I think you are all being a tad harsh. It's not been an easy season for batsmen on these damp and green wickets which suit the bowlers.

Also Surrey didn't really get a decent score so it's not the greatest wicket in the world.

That said, it's been a good day for me as a Rey man.

92/6 now. Sussex have scored 2 runs this morning, so probably time we lost another wicket.

124/6 now.

Scores LEVEL. Surrey will probably want to wrap this up now they've let us make a game of it. I'm sure we'll be out for around 140.

Sussex now with their (our) noses in front. Would I be correct in saying that Luke Wells is playing instead of FFS Murray? If so, it's looking like a good decision.

A somewhat lop-sided scorecard there for Sussex. So so lucky we have the ONE player in form.

Wells will be dropped again for the next match if Murray is fit. It's the standard Sussex selection policy, Wells has had his turn.

Not sure. Gatting's place looks very dubious (said that before as a BHA fan)

I'm not sure, Gatting got 2 runs yesterday and was quite harsh to be given out, the photo is very inconclusive.
