The game today was good. set about 360 to win, Sussex were struggling but the last 3 men got about 80 each to win in the last over

Today's game was a cracker i hear...

Nottinghamshire 365/3 (50 overs)
Sussex 369/9 (49 overs)

An amazing finish Sussex won by one wicket making 366 for nine with just over an over to spare.

For Notts Peterson made 149 not out out, and Bicknell 128. Ward got 51, Prior 42, but middle slumped and we were 128-6, then 175-9 before Innes 92 and Wright with 82 not out. led the victory charge. Even last wicket (Wright and Akram) added 60

Wright's batting really encouraging - his batting was better than his bowling, likewise Innes. but as is clear form the scores it was a batsman's day particularly with short boundaries on both sides.

overall encouraging performance from Wright and Innes and great to have a sunny day in March.

Luke Wright is such a good signing but Sussex this season, more runs in that team than at a Babys ward at Brighton General.

Even Mo Akram the number 11 came in and swung his bat to share a 60 not out partnership with Luke Wright to see us home!!!
