Alan, which two of the batsmen were wrong?

Here's a question: before Alan Wells' appearance in 1995, who was the last Sussex-born player to play for an England test team?

Including practice wickets, how many wickets are there on the Main Square? (at Hove)

Parks wrong
Oakman wrong

Clue: the player concerned wasn't playing for Sussex

Parks jr was, unbelievably, the last Sussex-born Sussex player to get a cap before Wells managed it (a gap of 28 years).

Ok, because I don't feel like acknowledging the football season this evening how about:-

6 Sussex cricketers to have opened the bowling for England since 1960

Rules:- Test matches only; must have been the "nominated" opening new ball bowler; must have been registered with/playing for Sussex at the time

John Snow must be one of them.
Tony Greig?
James Kirtley?
Ed Giddins?
