Inevitable.
I still think he’s a good talented player playing badly rather than a bad player.
Time in the 2s would be no bad thing though.

Ps
Playing til 7 or thereabouts

Wickets not bothering me really - would like to see a run chase and result - ideally we set them 300 quickly and go go go…

Coles looks streets ahead and that should concern ibrahim. It used to be the other way round
Coles batted really well. He came in with the ball doing a bit and looked rock solid. I didn't want to say earlier in case I put the finger of doom on him.

Thomson's performance does make wonder why Carson didn't get more overs - they were feasting on Shipley, some real buffet bowling.

This was being reported today - https://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/23649022.sussex-respond-claims-made-former-player-aneesh-kapil/

Can't say I remember anything about this guy being at Sussex.
How do you even prove what he's claiming?

Player thinks he should have been offered a contract, club don't think he's good enough

He must have more evidence than stats? Stats are key, but not everything when it comes to giving out contracts.

He may have more of a point if the club hadn't done what they said when using the academy.

Forecast for today looks promising once early showers have cleared. It could be an exciting day with both sides sniffing the chance of glory.

Would love to know who is in charge of ordering stock for the club shop. They never, ever seem to get new stock in and the two things I want haven't been in stock for maybe a year despite them saying they're getting more.

and McAndrew perishes too... caught behind off Thomson

259-7, lead 254, 82.2 overs remaining.

Any talk of dangling things is off the cards for the moment!

Lead of 317 at lunch. Do we declare…?

Lunch Day Four

Sussex 322-8 (84 overs), James Cole 146*

Leading by 317, with 67 overs remaining in the day. Slightly early for a declaration, but not a lot of overs left to bowl them out. Fine balance.
