He's a hard worker, good coach, great for sound bites, expressive, ambitious, high maintenance and impatient.
Poyets record as a manager with us was, Division One winner. That's it, nothing more. The same as Pat Saward, Micky Adams Charlie Webb. He had some money to use, he inherited the makings of a good team left by Slade. But his behaviour was appalling, getting involved in the Suarez affair, he became the media target whenever they wanted a 'bette noir' comment. He will do the same with Sunderland and reminds me of one of those fireworks that sits on the ground fizzing for a while and then fades away. I am sure that his departure with Sunderland will be acrimonious. No respect at all for him.
As someone said on another thread.......if he Keeps you up this season , then expect to see him leading out spurs first game of next season.
I think there's more chance of that if we go down, he'll feel less inclined to stay but will still have proven himself by getting to Wembley (hopefully more than once)
What a lot of people don't know which I have posted before is that days before the palace 2nd leg Gous told Tony he wanted to leave NOW. He also wanted his contract payed up in full. Tony refused of course so Gus the Ego refused to deal with the players. That is why he was in breach of contract.
Info from the best source possible.
Also for info Bridders and Ego share the same agent, separate I know but worth a mention.
Nonsense. If spurs come calling he'll run. Delusional if you think otherwise.
He asked to leave before the Palace game in March not the playoff. Source Tony Bloom.
You can't even spell entitled, therefore I'm highly unlikely to take life advice from you.
****.

Correct and it's not the only thing Brighton Mod has got wrong.
Obviously with the draw comes the chance that Poyet will face his old club, and I was reading through here to see what the general consensus was on that. It seems that you, lets just say, don't like our manager much. But I was wondering why exactly? I never really read much into the situation that got him sacked (all I recall was an incident in Crystal Palace's dressing room in the play-offs?) and have no real idea on what terms he left. Just wondering, any insight would be appreciated.
Good luck tomorrow by the way, hopefully you can upset Bruce a bit for us.
What a load of shit.
What a load of shit.
Is it though?
Sorry about that, should have been Peter Taylor and forgot to mention Alan Mullery taking us to division one. The point is Poyet is not unique and has done nothing more than some before him.

No it's not a load of shit. You are right to question it. The other thing is that before the famous match of the day denial TB had spoken to him personally. Not his agents / lawyers.
Nobody said it was unique but taking a team from the relegation zone to a league winning title with a record number of points, at the top for a record number of weeks, and achieving that title with 5 games to spare is unique.
We also got to 10th and then 4th in the next two seasons, which is our highest position for 30 years.
A lot of fans forget that Gus changed our style of play completely, and when it all went pear shaped, it paved the way for Oscar to take over. Oscar is continuing the style that Gus started. Hopefully he will take us further.
