Ellington would be a great signing imo, wouldnt know if championship clubs would be after him but never know. Seem to remember him and Jason Roberts taking us apart at withdean and the game being over by half time?
Garner would be good, but doubt very much there is anything behind the story.

Your seriously delusional if you think we have any chance of signing Ellington, some of the names people brand about are totally ridiculous.

Released by Watford, didnt do very well on loan at Derby and is not wanted there even on a free transfer. They arent exactly top championship clubs who are turning him down, maybe its ambitious, but wouldnt say delusional!

He would be a quality signing

he would - pace to burn, knows where the goal is and can also play out wide if required. and still quite young so he should continue to develop

not sure what sort of fee they would be looking for, but rotherham have a habbit of taking the attitude "if you dont want to stay, we get rid asap". mk dons were apparently sniffing around him

Yea totally agree. Some of the goals he scored last year were top notch and he looks powerful as well as pacey, so could offer us something different up top.

Strikers are the rarest of all the players available at this time of year unless you are going to spend stupid money. I think we will wait to nearer the start of the season and maybe pull off a 'coup de gras' that might surprise people. I still believe Slade is a shrewd cookie and knows who he wants but bides his time. Wander if he is any good at poker and could give our new chairman a run for his money?

players like Murray don't come around every day, Slade knows that which is why he wants to keep him. Look how long we struggled without a decent front man, Revell, McCammon etc

By the seaside in West Somerset
Owusu only trained 1 day a week to "preserve" himself/conserve energy.
If Murray were to do the same he could liveand train up north and fly Manchester/Gatwick to meet up with the team on Friday mornings

well worth consideration IMO

Yeah because that will do wonders for team morale, other strikers wouldn't bother in training because they know he is in the team every week without having to prove himself in training.:tosser:
