Didn't a South London club, desperate for an 'anthem' of their own, adopt a song that was written, sung and recorded by a bunch of ardent Tottenham fans who formed the group in order to raise money to get to a Spurs away match in Holland ?

I seem to remember that the Band were the major exponent of 'The Tottenham sound' back in the sixties and here is a picture of the boys and the spurs players hilariously swapping places

Now which team was it :lolol:

At least we know the words .

I'm GLAD you've cleared that up.

Gosh, thanks. I’m in Bits and Pieces.

I’m sure there are plenty of people a lot younger than I who would not have the first idea what was going on there.

I've heard my son's lot trying this one out for Mwepu after hearing Leicester do it. Not sure it fits too well. Imitation/flattery etc

This actually works, I’ve seen it posted elsewhere:

Tsamina mina, hey hey
Enock Mwepu, heyyy
We all call him the computer
He comes from Zambia

That, and high crime rates.
Nothing to do with that.

Both Everton and Watford still do. Apparently, the tune comes from an old Liverpool folk song. No idea why Watford use it though.
Indeed it does - the song is about one Johnny Todd, who took a notion to sail the sea. Lost him his girlfriend, who didn't hang around waiting for him. Nothing to do wth Watford, AFIK.
