I remember one night at Sterns, I'm sure Lenny D was playing in the bottom room....walking down in a drug haze, it sounded like standing next to an airplane taking-off (ie f***ing loud!!). Silly analogy, but that's what I thought of at the time!!!

Bet that was amazing in the early 90's, when pills were relatively new and dance music went to a different level.

The one big regret of my life is missing out on the original rave scene

Anyone currently in their late 30s, early 40s with an interest in dance music and/or drugs such as ectasy had a mighty fine time early 90s!!!!!

Them were the days!!!

We were only talking about Sterns in the pub at the weekend. Much better in the old days before the underground was built and all that crappy house music took over!

My first visit was in about 1984 when I was sneaked in by my elders and betters as an underage drinker after a christmas dinner in the Malaysian restaurant that was upstairs. No-one else in my group remembers this restaurant - anyone know what it was called?
