There has never been a World Cup final that did not involve one of Brazil, Germany, Italy and Argentina.

I'll kick off with;

Heskey needs one more International goal to draw level with goalkeepers Rene Higuita and Jose Chilavert, who retired with 8 International goals each.

Interesting but put it into perspective when you recall that Beardsley only scored 9 goals for England. If (and it's a big if) Heskey gets' two then he will be on the same level as the geordie gnome. Beardsley did it in 59 appearances and Heskey so far has done 58.

No team has EVER won the World Cup on African soil.

:dunce:

No team has lost it either!

Argentina Have only ever won the World when their mascot has worn a hat.
This year it has no hat.

England have only ever won the World Cup when the mascot has NOT worn a hat.

During the 1974 World Cup match between West Germany and Poland, in the first half, with West Germany on the attack, the referee blew the whistle and all 22 players instantly stood still to observe a minute's silence for President Peron of Argentina who had died a few days earlier.
