Standing in Championship and Premiership

I know this board and all football fans in general are pretty much unanimous in their support for safe standing areas.

I for one would love to see them back - there is an article on BBC breakfast on the subject at 0720 this morning.

At last, it seems this subject is starting to be addressed.

Wolves have told their fans that they (the club) are willing to support safe standing, on the condidtion that fans agree to sit down in the mean time. Wolves are facing an enforced capacity reduction next season, on top of the reduction caused by the demolition of the North bank, because their fans refuse to sit down.

At the comparatively lego stadium Withdean, people really should understand why seating IS required.
In many other cases though, it seems that terracing is not really all that of an issue when it comes to safety.
In the end, it's the supporters, the punter who pays to be there - and the preference could be given to them.

Instead of laying the blame on the club or the stewards or the safety officer or whatever else, it's really not them who make these decisions.
With Wolves feeling the pinch and the threat, that ought to show exactly why it's not the fault of the above list! Compliance is not an option for clubs to do if they feel like it or if it suits a section of the fans or whatever - it's mandatory and sanction-able.

It's frustrating for more than just a few people in H Block who rant at stewards.
