Moving that way next week and wanted to know what the two pubs are like ??.
They're ok. A bit pikey but so what? The Stag is better for a quiet drink. Full of oldies but they do a decent pint of cider on draught. Can't recall what its called now. Stonehouse or something?? Bloody nice whatever it's called
The George is a real bottom of the barrel scumhole. The right hand bar is better (less scummy) than the left but it's not the greatest. There again I don't go in there to mix with the locals so it doesn't ever bother me too much.

Have you ever seen that scene in American Werewolf in London - The Slaughtered Lamb both are a bit like that my sister lived in North Road in the old village from 1983 to 2001 ....Stags Head once the George never and she is a piss head
