Stadium Tour

Had a brilliant day, although we thought we'd miss the tour thanks to the traffic of the London to Brighton Mini run.
But they delayed it because we weren't the only ones late and so glad they did as the stadium behind the scenes is superb and we were shown around by 2 friendly and knowledgeable guides. I'd recommend it to all Albion fans.
Now if you'll humour and indulge me, I'll bombard you with some snaps of the day.

They haven't found the 2004 playoff trophy yet then?

They haven't found the 2004 playoff trophy yet then?

There was another section to the trophy cabinet but no play off trophy.
2 other facts, the museum won't be opened until July after being put back several times.
And the most expensive piece of tech at the Amex?
A zero G treadmill to lessen wear and tear on players legs while they keep up fitness and stamina £250k
Guides joked that it was pretty much Vicente's machine

Is the Yellow "slippery floor" sign a clue?!

Great pics - thanks for posting them.

The slippery floor sign was my fault, the guides Didnt take too kindly to me doing a reconstruction for total authenticity.
I was a bit dull posting so many pics but I had such a good time and thought I'd share.
One last little anecdote from the tour I'll share. Before a game, Gus stands in front of the team and picks a player at random to hand over their iPod to dock (in picture below under t.v screen) to play to rest of squad. If they haven't got it with them they are fined £200 pounds and then moves to the next player. Strangely, lots of Latino music blares out from our dressing room.

Under the Police Box
So I'm going on the tour this sunday with Jr Birkin and a mate. I'd love to be able to come back on here with a major scoop, Di Matteo being shown around while Gus, Tanno and Charles are sat in the centre circle getting a Phil Brown ticking off by Tony, but it's a Sunday in pre season and will probably be like a ghost town. So who else has done the tour? enjoy it? any hints or tips on what to do, see or look out for that might not be obvious or part if the tour? or is it pretty regimented and you just stick with what the guide does?
I don't know who's looking forward to it more, my 6 year old or me.

Went pre-season last year with my son... They even allowed us to wander off into a construction area to "bond" with the soon-to-be-ours new seats in the SW corner.

Having also taken at tour with a large London-based Russian outfit a few years back I couldn't help but be astounded at how great the behind the scenes experience at the Amex is. We are far too kind (during the regular season) with the facilities we give the away side and the indoor "mini pitch" was a real eye opener in terms of how lucky our players are too.
