Just found out the following:-
1. As spiros said they walk onto the pitch because of the risk of slipping.
2. They have to wait until they get the signal from the referee or the team physio.
3. Any treatment depends on the type of injury. If it is a cut of some description it will be treated on the spot. Any other injuries will be guarded and the player will be put on a spinal board and carried to the touchline where as previously stated the medical decisions will be dictated mainly by the team's medical assistants.
