I remember earlier in the season when we were fretting at how weak our bench was, considering our bench away at Wednesday:

Baz, Battipiedi, Walker (GK), Hart, Holroyd, Caskey, Cook

Now, we haven't a single player on our bench who we didn't think was up to it anymore.

Bench against Tranmere:

Brezovan (GK), Elphick, Taricco, Noone, Barnes, Sandaza, Bridcutt

so true, especially when you think Navarro is on his way back, McNulty is still on our books and Tunnicliffe is loaned out, Agdestein too is looking good and close to putting pressure on the subs

Caskey is still good like he was good when he came on against stoke. You have also got to remember that he is only 16 or 17 years of
age. Baz and Battepidi r still tryin to settle into english football

hart is sometimes on it because of his workrate .

Of course your first team is only as good as your reserves. What happends if you have suspensions and injuries and only have the youth team to make up the numbers. As we have seen over the last couple of weeks squad rotation has been key to our success. Look at the bench from the Sheff Wednesday game, if they would have been our replacements through out March we wouldn't be where we are now.

How can you say that about Walker after one first team appearance, in which he kept a clean sheet and looked pretty solid. Same with Cook i guess? Do people not understand the concept of players improving with age?!

Of course, Caskey is a very good prospect, and I wasn't having a go at the youth players like Walker and Cook, just saying that it would be a lot of pressure to have to rely on the players from Sheffield Wednesday's bench for subs and to fill in. Now we have experienced, class player on the bench which can only be a good thing.
