Television and computer games are creating a nation of young loners, a survey suggests.
More than two thirds of children are said to spend most of their time alone instead of playing with friends.

The survey, for analysts Mintel, suggests that more than a quarter of youngsters spend most of their free time watching television.

The research says only 36% of parents limit the amount of time their children spend watching television or playing computer games.

Oooh! Oooh! Can I have one? I think I qualify as I've just cracked copying my C64 disks and am about to undertake to convert them all to the PC for posterity. I'm also about to scan a 200 page book about writing wargames on the C64 so a guy can type them all in.
