Southampton 0-1 Brighton & Hove Albion

Just like England were always going to sneak a narrow win against Spain, just so people could run away getting excited thinking we're going to win Euro 2012.

Was it really over 100 games ago that Gus took charge of BHA?
On 15 November 2009 the Albion beat Saints 3-1 at ST Marys in a result that upset the firm book. Gus had just taken charge & a Glenn Murray brace & a late strike from Andrew Crofts left the locals disbelieving in front of the Sky cameras.

Last years visit somehow ended 0-0 after the Saints battered us, though if Chris Woods had scored that penalty we would surely have returned victorious.

So can mid table Albion upset the form book, our wretched form, Saints 100% home record, for a third time?

My head says a 4-0 mauling, however, I fancy a point from this one & plumped for 1-1.

gone for a 'sneaky' 2-1 to us ... think it will be tight but hoping we can raise our game and pinch a win !

I prefer the green shorts with the away kit so am glad that Southampton wear black. Heart says we will nick a point, as always, head says it will be 2 - 0 defeat for us.

You have to admire footie fans.

Approx 1 in 3 of us think that the Albion will win, & half think that the Albion won't lose. Though in a two team race you can get an incredible 6/1 from William Hill for any Albion win!

Are Saints that good?
Are we that gash?

Surely not!

You cant be surprised at those odds when weve won our last 19 at home.

I'm always the eternal optimist and can never bet against the Albion. So today I be mostly going for a 2-1 win for us, after a niggly and bad-tempered game, with both teams ending up with 10 men.

Having just seen our team sheet, I'll go for 4-0 to Southampton. I don't want to just think we are going to get caned today. I'll cry if that score comes in.
