£1.8million was his release clause wasn't it? Absolute bargain. would rather spend that on Sharp than £8million on Hooper.

Yep, bargain in comparison to CMS. That's not knocking CMS, but Sharp's a couple of years younger, far more proven in this league, and a fair deal cheaper. I'm Craigs biggest fan, but that's a great deal for Saints.

He's probably getting a £2m signing on fee and £25k a week wages though...
Could be a great signing but like many players he may flop, bet he's on a good 25k a week:)

Dean Saunders knows what it's like to be a goal machine sold on the cheap!

He's on a lot less than £25K p/w. Leicester offered £28k and he is on substantially less than that. He hasn't moved for the money, he has moved because of his relationship with our coaching team.

He needs the constant attention of a physio?

some stupid comments here... if Sharp came in to our team who says he won't struggle to adapt with a lack of support... leave cms alone please :) thanks

Didn't I see somewhere that he'd turned you down in the summer? Thought/assumed that was because he had issues with Adkins (reasonable enough assumption!).

What was the reason for the rejection previously?

What's with the sharp wankathon? He can put the ball in the net but he's injury prone and has only done well at small clubs. Will he be able to cope with not being the main man, in this case playing 2nd fiddle to fat ricky.
