Songs You Think Could Make A Good Terrace Anthem

Here you go

Two little boys had two little toys
Each had a wooden horse
Gaily they played each summers day
Warriors both of cause
One little chap then had a mishap
Broke off his horses head
Wept for his toy, then cried with joy
As his young playmate said

Did you think I would leave you crying
When there's room on my horse for two
Climb up here, Jack and don't be crying
I can go just as fast with two
When we grow up we'll both be soliders
And our horses will not be toys
And I wonder if we'll remember when we were
Two little boys

Long years past, war came so fast
Bravely they marched away
Cannon roared loud and in the mad crowd
Wounded and dieing lie, up goes a shout
A horse dashes out, out from the ranks so blue
Gallops away to where Joe lay, then came a voice he know

Did you think I would leave you dieing
When there's room on my horse for two
Climb up here, Joe we'll soon be flying
I can go just as fast with two
Did you say Joe I'm all a tremble, perhaps it's the battles noise
But I thinks its that I remember when we were two little boys

Do you think I would leave you dieing
There's room on my horse for two
Climb up here, Joe we'll soon be flying
Back to the ranks so blue
Can you feel Joe I'm all a tremble, perhaps it's the battles noise
But I think its that I remember when we were two little boys
That really is a great shout. I would love it if Albion fans belted that one out.

Oh Gus you gotta let me know
Will you stay or will you go?
If you say that you are mine
I'll be here 'til the end of time
So you got to let me know
Will you stay or will you go?

Always tease tease tease
You're happy when I'm on my knees
One day is fine, next is black
So if you want me off your back
Well come on and let me know
Will you Stay or will you go?

Will you stay or will you go now?
Will you stay or will you go now?
If you go there will be trouble
An' if you stay we'll win the double
So come on and let me know

This indecision's bugging me
If you don't want me, set me free
Exactly who'm I'm supposed to be
Don't you know which clothes even fit me?
Come on and let me know
Will you cool it or will you blow?

Will you stay or will you go now?
If you go there will be trouble
And if you stay we'll win the double
So you gotta let me know
Will you stay or will you go?

Peters and Lee-Welcome Home:

"These are the words I'll say to you:

Welcome home, welcome
Come on in, and close the door
You've been gone, too long
Welcome, you're home once more"

A few of us sung it as we arrived at Falmer station for first game against Doncaster. Very apt, even now.

Otherwise, Sweet Caroline is an epic and a regular drunken sing song favourite with my lot.

Two Little Boys is one of my party pieces, but too long and not "anthemic" enough for the football IMHO.

Mandy, by Mr B Manilow could also work for Vicente:

"Morning, just another day
Happy people pass my way
Looking in their eyes
I see a memory
I never realized
How happy you made me, Vicente

Well you came and you gave without taking
And I sent you away, Vicente
And you kissed me and stopped me from shaking
And I need you today, Vicente

I'm standing on the edge of time
Walked away when love was mine
Caught up in a world of uphill climbing
The tears are in my eyes
And nothing is rhyming, Vicente

Well you came and you gave without taking
And I sent you away, Vicente
And you kissed me and stopped me from shaking
And I need you today, Vicente

Yesterday's a dream
Now I face the morning
Crying on the breeze
The pain is calling, Vicente"

Still think Brighton - Amarillo would sound great. And if ever we could get each stand to do a chorus (with plenty of clapping/seat banging), then all sing the last, would be immense.
Sha la la, la la la la la, BRIGHTON:O
Sha la la, la la la la la, BRIGHTON:O
Sha la la, la la la la la, Brighton and Hove Albion:guitar::guitar::banana:

If we say this version of The Littlest Hobo then at least when it's speeded up it'll be about the original level

Haven't looked through the whole thread so apologies if fixtures but Coldplay-Paradise (Yes, yes I know it's Coldplay) could easily be turned into a football song I reckon.

Neocon by The Offspring

Imagine the North Stand chanting 'We will never lose to you' in unison after the montage played before the teams come out.

A few teams have adopted songs and sung them well in the stands. They haven't changed any words to get in the team name or a player or anything about the club, but just a sung a song and sung it loudly, even if its just a chorus. It's really random what songs make it as terrace songs.

Stoke have Delilah
Rangers sing The Drifters Come On Over to My Place
Liverpool have a number of songs like You'll Never Walk Alone
Celtic had Just Cant Get Enough (until very other team did their version)
Palace sing Bob Marley's Three Little Birds

Are there any songs you have thought would sound good being sung in the stands. Doesnt even need words changing our, maybe just one word so it says Brighton. Will have to be pretty much a "pop" song so most people already know the words and tune.

Obviously Praise You could be a contender.
There's the Taxman Classic - Tiffany I Think We're Alone Now
Maybe even an Oasis number like Roll With It or Champagne Supernova
Could be a bit Kenny Rogers The Gambler or chuck in a bit of Green Day Good Riddance

Over to NSC for possible new terrace anthems...

1. Monty Python....... 'Always look on the Brighton side of life da da, da da da da da da'.

Neither here nor there
To the tune of Ballroom Blitz:

Then the man at the back said everyone attack
He's the Brighton captain Gordon Greer.
Gor-don Greer...
Gor-don Greer ...

I like it anyway.

To the tune of the chorus of Can't Take My Eyes Off You:

We are the Albion and we are from Sussex
We are the Albion, we play at the Amex
We are the Albion, Gus will show us the way

We are the Albion, we play in blue and white
We are the Albion and we are dynamite
We are the Albion, believe us when we say ...

(repeat, slow at the beginning)

Would work a treat

Not a bad suggestion. The idea is right because the one's the sound best generally are sung slowly with a couple of pauses.

What about a bit of cliff (batchelor boy)

When I was young my father said
'Son I have something to say'
And what he told me I'll never forget
Until my dying days

He said son you are a brighton boy
And that's the way to stay

Son you'll be a brighton boy
Until your dying days

Followed by Brighton, Brighton, Brighton

Slow tempo, simple lyrics follows a 'pop-rock' type melody:
