Is that it do you reckon? DK gives us a bit of cheer early doors, then goes quiet.

All the other teams signing players, and we're giving contracts to our boys and our old boys.

So come on the Dick, you reckon we can attract players, that we're offering enough money, let's have a few more in now please, keep us happy.

Or, is it a case of we've signed Whing, to join us on 1st July, but hey ho, Leeds or someone else with loadsa cash come along at the last minute and whilf him away from us. And we sign someone from Wimbourne or Sudbury.

It's the 22nd of June, FFS!

Plus, no that can't happen. He's signed for us.

Shall we give it a few weeks before we write off another season?

Come on, you know the drill, DK doesn't like signing players til the last minute before the season starts in August as it saves on paying wages for the month of July.

Well thank goodness for that, it would be just our luck for there to be something in the contract, a clause, that lets him go to another club if they offer him an extra half an orange at half time.

And my point about the lack of signings was more to do with the apparent abundant signings by other teams in League One. I know we generally get the left overs at the end of the transfer window, but with the signing of Whing so early on, I was hoping for a deluge.

Oh Well, Kanchelskis perhaps?

Dean Wilkins and Dick Knight are trying hard to bring in new players.I expect 4 new players +Whing to be there or there about come the start of pre-season

Locky is right, we moved early on Whing to make sure that we didn't miss out, don't think I am the only one who is relieved that we did. I reckon we will see another 2 or 3 players before the season starts, hopefully before we get too far into the friendly matches...probably a forward and keeper as understudy/replacement for FDM.

Reid - quality new player
Hinsh - quality new player

I class them both as new as neither really played that much last season. IF they can stay fit along with the signing of Whing we've got three new players better than the ones they'll be replacing!!

I had genuinely forgotten about Hinshelwood and Reid in my state of doom and gloom on all things Albion! I can't disagree with any of what you say. Hinshelwood is a fine player when fit IMO, and Reid is certainly an improvement on the existing situation.

*IF* Reid is fit, I think we might only need a proven goalscorer to have a decent season. He's easily good enough at this level.

Only Huddersfield and Bournemouth look like they've made signings you'd really want IMO. Lennon must be on a packet at Forest and I bet he doesn't provided value for money there.

I said before that I think that Yeovil's Lindegaard looked quite useful - I'm surprised they've let him go.
