McShane is a 'classic' centre half in the Cullip mould, gets stuck in, not the paciest, but very passionate and for that reason he is liked by fans.

At the highest level not sure about him, Fergie did well to get £2.5mill for him.

It was Robson who did the £2.5M deal methinks

I think he could do a job at RB, got some pace, can get stuck in and is decent on the ball. Not quite strong or tall enough to play CB in the prem. You need a bit more class than he has to do it at his size.

Your not saying we have a chance of getting him back are you? He would walk into our team and nearly every championship team at CB or RB, maybe he seems a bit out of his depth at Sunderland atm but hes still inexperienced at that level and Roy Keane obviously sees enough in him to start him every game.
