Coxy is pretty tiddly at 5ft 4in but have there been any smaller footballers?

I used to go to a few Donny Rovers games with my mate and they used to have a player called Matty Caudwell who I'm sure was not much over 5ft.

My brother-in-law is the smallest person to every play cricket for New Zealand...

Not that that really has anything to do with this thread...

wherever the money is
Knight is 5'5 officially so he is the same size as Aaron Lennon. Christian Lara is 5'4 and plays in Ecuador. Ludovic Giuly is 5'4.5

Top stuff

How come he was never picked for tests?

I think he was pigeonholed as a specialist one day player. Often opened the batting and kept wicket but was competing for a test spot again Adam Parore who was pretty established.

When he got a decent run in the one-day side he had a few off days and pretty much fell out of the reckoning.

Played against England, Australia etc though so not done too bad.

At least he made the big time and not many people get to represent their country

Makes a fair living out of it as well and as you say, not many people get to represent their country.

Still plays top level club cricket in New Zealand.

Alan Wright full back currently at Cheltenham, used to play for Villa, is 5ft 4 according to his wikipedia.

I am sure he was smaller than Dean Cox when we played against Cheltenham last season though.
