Saw it last night.

Its defo got lots of Bourne traits in it, but I quite liked it

Thought Q was a bit dopey (won't say too much so as not to spoil it)

Also very much the villain from No country and that ending could have been done anywhere it didn't need to give us all that extra info and then destroy it all.

I don't think I'm giving anything away, spoiler wise, when I say that Naomie Harris is FIT.

Argo's quite good. A bit flag-waving at times, but Affleck knows how to direct tension and suspense in a film. He hasn't disappointed yet and has continued to surprise. The only thing he should stop doing is hiring himself as actor too. His general lack of facial expressions in this aid him, but he hasn't got what it takes to boss leadingly. I'd recommend seeing it. I'd also think he'd do a good job with Bond too. His thrillers thus far have been well-constructed and suspenseful.

Opening credits did show a female hand holding out to him so guess you are right.
Saw him use the flare but picture was a bit unclear at that point I thought.

Gonna be honest I didnt see the "hole" first time round but I did when I saw it in IMAX.

Just come back from the screening at the marina....bloody great and reminded me a lot of from Russia with love.

We both really enjoyed it and also partly as the lack of gadgets and just back to a rollicking good film.

Great stuff

Went to flicks last night. Was a bit apprehensive due to the usual overhyping & because last two Bond films were gritty and not very Bond like & was unconvinced by Daniel Craig as a result.

What a shock. Best Bond film ever by a country mile - the action never stopped and was gripping. Stunts were mind blowing and Daniel Craig was brilliant & deserved the plaudits. Will be getting the DVD when out.

Saw it last night - definitely the best Bond film. Loved the villain and it was good to get a bit more humour from Bond. The nods to the past ( including the re-introduction of a character ! ) were good as well. Bond and M have a good chemistry. Been ages since I've been to the cinema and I've never seen the same film twice at the cinema - I'm sorely tempted to do so with this one.

I'm gobsmacked how well the secret has been kept - somewhat like the Mousetrap play - an unwritten rule is that you don't give away the secret !

I did enjoy it.

BUT I still think Casino Royale was better.

It seemed to have a feel about it that this was late in Bond's career, almost like he would be signing off afterwards. Glad he's not, obviously, and apparently Daniel Craig's going to remain in the role for years to come, which is great.

I saw it today in a Cardiff multiplex. Somewhere about half way through, in a scene set in a rather dark setting, the screen remained completely black, but with full sound. For a moment I marvelled at Mr Mendes' bonkersness, a clever ploy to throw the spectator into the dark as perhaps our hero? But minutes went by.
Just as I was suspecting foul play, a voice chirped up from the back of the auditorium, "We are verrry sorrrry (broad Welsh accent), could you all move to screen 11, a prrrrojector bulb has blown".
Needless to say about eighty people legged it, Bond style, into the adjacent auditorium.

Blimmin' grrrreat film.

Remarkable. Just got back (late showing) and the projector went down in the middle. They got it going again after 15 mins.

Back to the film, yes Bondtastic. Very very Bond and the best Bond film I've ever seen.

Worthing
I should have posted after I'd seen it, on Thursday, but I thought everyone else would have seen it by now.

My opinion? BLOODY JESUS. I've seen every Bond film at least 3 times, some of them a lot more (Casino about 15) and it is the best one so far. I didn't believe the hype, and there is a patch about a third of the way through (China) when it all gets way too comfortably familiar, but from the underground scene onwards, it's not only part of the best Bond I've seen, it's also one of the best action films I've seen.

Well played, Sam.

EDIT: I've played football with Sam Mendes. f*** the lot of you.

I've never heard of Giles Coren but having read that steaming pile of shit I'll know to avoid anything written by him in the future !
I'm sure you are aware of his sister and dad.
