While we're here, this is my checklist for any Bond movie:

1. BIG opening scene.
2. Theme song that has the name of the movie in the chorus and a 007 twang.
3. Theme plays to silhouettes of nudie ladies - at least one dancing on a gun barrel.
4. Gadgets
5. Oneliners
6. Tux
7. Aston motor
8. Cool villain
9. Bond girls (bonus points for suggestive names like Pussy Galore)
10. BIG end scene, explosions etc after which Bond gets the girl and gets off with her while M gets pissed off.

As I said on my pre Skyfall thread!:-

When completely removed from the deflation of expectation.
When you already know the baddy is a utilities company.
Now that I was prepared for horrendous product placement.

It wasn't as bad as I remembered it.

I watched it in Bolivia, and it was all set in Bolivia, so therefore I felt like I was actually James Bond. I think that's why I liked it.

8 out of 10.

Using spoiler tags (or PM me if need be) can you confirm if the gun barrel sequence is back at the beginning of the film?

It was hard to focus on the titles after the opening sequence.

Daniel Craig is the best bond IMO

the only agent out of the bunch who could actually kick your ass and not rely on gadgets

Isn't that what used to make James Bond films?,it was the gadgets that I used to love as a kid but I suppose technology has put paid to it now.Bond is just like all the other films now.

But was there a gunbarrel before the OS?
Ah you mean the walk past shoot.
Not silhouette nubiles dancing on the barrel of a gun.

No, no gun barrel.

Classic Adele though. Realistically, what else would you have expected?

This is a first for Adele, normally all her songs are about ridiculing or slagging off any boyfriend who has ever left her....and she's had two albums worth.

First time i've been excited about going to cinema for ages. It didn't disappoint. It is epic. See it.

Leeds - but not the dirty bit
wasn't that bothered about Skyfall until the reviews suggesting this is more of 007 movie than some vague Bourne rip off with Bond music.

Absolutely this, it has to be a Bond movie, not just any other action/thriler/spy movie

WTF!!? Why do they keep dicking with the gun barrel sequence, so annoying! It's meant to be the 50th anniversary
There is a kind of tenuous homage to it.
But nothing as predictable.
