Download something and whilst its downloading have a look at the speed you are downloading at.

You can also try using a speedtest which will tell you what speed line it thinks you have such as:-

I am currently with Tiscali (had bad experience) and want to change to Sky (£10 per month).
I would like the changeover to be seemless i.e. no down time.
Is this possible?

It depends with Tiscali, as some parts of tiscali have already been LLU'd If you ar eon the LLU part of Tiscali then you have to cease you current conneciton befor eordering the new sky one. If however you have not been llu'd and can get a MAC code then it will prett ymuch seemless. You'll have about 15 minutes downtime, at least thats what I had.

NTL Broadband is good.. I have the 2mb Broadband, which is ideal for me and the family. In fact when we have two machines running off the router it doesnt seems to slow down.

How do you check what speed you are downloading at to make sure you are getting the full 2mb capacity?

Anyone got any experience of Orange free broadband?

It's what used to be Wanadoo. Basically it will be the same as any other provider, some people will have bad experiences but the vast majority will have no problem at all.
I've got it. Got the equipment within a few days, and was up and running with no problems at all. I haven't had to phone them once.
