What has happened to you

Today marks day 4423 since we left the Goldstone. 11 years is a long time, and seems even more ridiculous we havent even begun to build a new home yet. After what the previous board have done to try and ruin us, we are still here waiting for the day we get a new ground, which will probably break the 5000 day barrier.

The protests have been marched, the letters have been written, valentines cards and flowers have been sent, people have been soaked, celebs have got involved, but as yet, the wait continues.

A lot has happened in our own life times as well as the country. Remember the days of leaving the Goldstone and filling your car up with Petrol on the journey home for 61p a litre, Take That were just boys, John Major was Prime Minister, Starbucks wasn’t even evented.

I guess it is possible that a few posters that read this weren't even born at the time we left the Goldstone, and of course there are those that we remember who sadly lost their lives before getting to watch us play in our own home again.

What below has happened to you since we left the Goldstone? Quite scary the amount of stuff that has happened to me

Starbucks wasn’t even evented.

Starbucks have been around since 1971. They just hadn't opened any UK outlets in 1997 when we left the Goldstone.

Was Petrol really only 61p a litre? Surely it was higher than that?

I've got a new partner
became a parent - twice
gone on holiday out of Europe and in Europe (missed that one on the poll)

a family bereavement

Plenty of other things have happened too which aren't on the poll.

I have lived and travelled both inside and outside Europe.
Tried alcohol repeatedly but finally decided that it did nothing for me and gave it up almost five years ago.
I have followed, and still do, teams other than the Albion...mainly due to the distances I have lived from Sussex during that time.
Sadly I have also suffered family bereavements, it would be pretty rare for any family to go 11 years without one, although mine have all been great aunts and uncles.

In 1998 petrol was 66.6p in the garage by The Downs Hotel in Woodingdean, thats a fact!!
