For those of you of a certain age, is there a consensus that growing up with that film puts it on a par with all the great films ever made? Didn't it introduce you to your first impressions of being eco-aware, of the magic of friendship on your own terms, and how nasty some grown-ups can be? And din't you want Bruce Dern to be your pal too?

Like episodes of Trumpton, I'm wary of watching it over and over again as my memories of it are sacred and I wouldn't want to ruin those.

But it's on this Saturday afternoon. Tape it.

:drink: :drink: :drink: Huey, Louis and Dewey. How weird is this film when you cry when one of the little robots gets wasted, yet you cheer when Bruce Dern blows up his redneck pals :lolol: :lolol:
