I have to say that I am not in favour of having home fans in a tier above the away fans.

Last night we had Forest fans above us. There was no trouble but I wonder if it's the same when they play their hated rivals Derby?

Secondly. The stewards last night. There were about 800 of us last night. Being in a huge stand, we could obviously sit where we liked. The stewards went "over the top" in ensuring that everyone was sitting down. They nearly kicked a guy out in front of us (near the front) for celebrating our goal too much!!

About 95ish I would have thought. Stuart Munday scored an overhead kick. Great atmosphere but I remember being my dad trying to cover me quite a lot due to stuff being thrown down.

Three lads in front of me were doing their best to get kicked out by constantly standing. I personally don't mind standing or sitting but I did get a bit cheesed off getting up and down for most of the first half. If I'd wanted to do aerobics I would have stayed at home and watched Jane Fonda...

You may find the same thing at the Stadium of Light when we play Sunderland .... depending on the ticket allocation they give us, you may well find Mackem above and to the side of us!

On the terraces!!
me and sheebo were "warned " by the gates after being taken away for a "chat" - but a lad infront of us and one on the side nearer the goal posts actually got escorted off in 2nd half and didn;t re-appear!

they were well f***ing heavy handed - NO NEED!:p

In the first half when they had just got almost everyone to sit down before everyone starting singing 'Stand up if you want Falmer' and everyone was once again standing!!! :lolol:
Listening to the SCR commentary, it was obvious what was going on.

'Stand up if you want Falmer' is now mainly used as a coded message to the folks back home. It means 'HELP! WE ARE BEING TAKEN HOSTAGE BY UNIFORMED FANATICS'.

Last night was my first away game for some time. I often read stuff on here about heavy handed stewarding, how we're not allowed to stand up etc, and usually think it's all exagerated and you're all just whinging.

After last night though - I now totally agree. For the first 10 mins or so before the stewards appeared, everyone was standing happily and there were no problems whatsoever. Only when the stewards appeared did any problems start. Why on earth couldn't they have just let us get on with it ? I can understand them getting involved if people are complaining about people standing in front of them, but I didn't see anyone doing that last night.

*rant mode off*

BTW - Chant of the night ? You're too ugly to be gay

We had that apparently when walking past pubs after the game this season. I didn't go to due tofuckng work but mates had all srts thrown at them.

Don't hear about it in the news though :nono:

Remember that Brum game well. We had our mini-bus transport hit with stones and stuff on the way in from outside a pub on the roundabout. We upset their party big time at the game where they thought they would get the division trophy presented to them. We were 2-0 down (place going nuts) and came back to lead 3-2 (place dead silent) and the few of us that were there (originally Brum had offered no tickets but then after BHA complained we got 500) were fearful for our lives. They got an equaliser but a draw was not good enough to get the trophy. Old Bill took us out through what they called the red light district (council estate nr the ground, half pakistani, half bengali apparently) for own safety. The estate looked like a war zone.

I must say that i thought that they were ok. They were prepared to join in the banter. For bad security visit Brentford and QPR!

Was that Liquorice ones or those new fruit ones. Personally I don't like the new ones very much, they just taste wrong.
