The bit about Wednesday is balls, Painter signed a pre-contract as he is still under contract at Swansea officially so why wouldn't Sparrow do the same. Lots of players sign pre-contracts for when their contract at their current club expires.

If you sign a pre-contract do you then sign another contract on the 1st of July when it actually starts?

I reckon we'll announce a signing or two on Monday. The players are due back for training monday so they'll probably finalise everything on Monday rather than get them down early just to sign.
