Scam??

definately a scam anything from nigeria usually is, someone i know at my company got involved with them for some reason and never stops getting pestered by phone calls, emails etc. it is money laundering i think and he transferred money to them in return for massive profit as well etc etc, now they just keep pestering him

just get rid of it.

Open a temporary account and draw it straight out (if you're able to) sounds the best suggestion so far

Sounds ropey as smeg, and I reckon caz is right. Money laundering is a super hot topic at the mo, and ignorance is no defence in the eyes of the law. It doesnt have to be a large cheque - any amount that is out of the ordinary will set alarm bells going.

And whilst they couldnt do anything with your account details (in theory) you dont want to bandy them about. Its like wearing a t-shirt with your PIN number on coz you know only you have the card.
