tried that fella,winding me up,tesco told me 1st time might take upto half hour,its been treble that!!!,also reset it,no joy

You might need the satellite receiver, then link it by bluetooth? Just guessing, dunno what sort you have.

What vehicle?

Citroen, Peugeot, Renault and many more have windscreens that won't let the signals through. In which case you need an external GPS antenna...

Try placing the unit on the roof and see how long it takes to get a fix.

get a steel dust bin lid, wire it up and attach that to the roof - gets round the Reanult windscreen probs and great reception
