What has he been signed for?

Striker, defence or fork dispenser?

The QPR fans I spoke to said he'll do a job in League One. His job will to be head the ball when we're under pressure at free kicks/corners. I'm sure he can do that. Give him a chance!

I don't get this at all. Where is the Santos sign?

He's also ideal for MM to fall out with as well, let's not forget that

No Burgess then - we obviously won't have enough money to complete with the likes of Bristol City and Blackpool, so lets spunk our money on 45 year old defenders. With Butters Santos & Mayo at the back, we won't be short of pace, that's for sure.

:clap2:

1. We already have an old centre back to do that job - Butters.
2. Hasn't McGhee learned anything from the Dodd fiasco?
3. Keith Lowe must be really shit.

Ask yourself why Blackpool have pulled out of Burgess deal. It has nothing to do with money. Santos is a free and who's wages won't be that much. Pace might be an issue I grant you.

Saw Santos a couple of times last season and was fiarly impressed. He's a good competitor, energetic and not too slow. Also a big physical presence which we will need at times this season. Decent signing IMO.

But is this thread really meant for sensible comments though?

The scary part for me is that we've already got Lowe but we've bought in another centre back, and a 1 year deal to boot. Does this mean Lynch is off?

Butters is injured
Everyone said Dodd was a good signing. We were unlucky
Don't know about Lowe.

No it isn't. None of us have seen him play, he might be quite good.

Meanwhile, I'm happy to laugh my tits off on this thread that McGhee has cleverly upped the age of our starting back four to about 41 (once Lynch has been sold).
