I was hoping there would already be a thread on him I could get some information from but there's not, a few people have said to me we're looking to loan him with a view to buy.

Anybody know anything about this?

The seaside.
Been linked with Charlton all summer, but I doubt CAFC can afford him as things stand. Bristol City had a £1.5m bid turned down a few days ago, according to press reports. His wages - £15k a week, apparently - are a problem for most Championship sides, hence I think clubs preferring an initial loan (with WHU paying some of the wage). With the strikers West Ham are signing, Baldock likely won't make their 25-man squad, so will definitely be off SOMEWHERE.

It surfaced on Football Rumours so take what you will of that.

I understand that SB is not exactly a large presence so doubt if he would be what Gus is looking for, never minding what wages he would be expecting !

Seen him a couple of times, looks lively and has good awareness of those around him. First touch is sometimes lacking and is liable to get bumped off the ball a bit. Would be a good squad player for BHAFC this season if you ask me, which you didn't.

I think his value will go down as the summer goes on, Westham will surely be looking to sell him with Maiga, Piquionne, Vaz Te, Cole, Maynard, Baldock and they've just made a £17m bid for big Andy Carroll

I will have vaz te please

The way poyet likes to sign players who play well against us he was good at the Amex for Barnsley and the hat trick for the hammers I could see us trying to get him

I like him. Could be a very, very good player in the next couple of years imo. Not sure he's better than what we have at the mo though.

I think he'd suit Gus' tippy tap. Apparently he's keen to go to a Championship team, on loan or otherwise. But fundamentally he wants to stay in London. I've seen him play a few times for West Ham and he's a good lad, it'd be a shame to see him go to waste by staying there.

I thought Charlton had signed him (obviously not then ) I know a few west ham fans were raving about him till he got injured scored a few goals as well , couldn't get back in side with vaz te playing so well
