First saw him in 93 controlling the FaCup game against us. One of our defenders applauded his skill after being bamboozled again.
He wasn't allowed to play for Wales as often as he could, and would be a great International asset still, sitting behind Ramsay and Bale. I also saw him in a World Cup qualifier against Germany who had to substitute the full back at half time, he was so good.

The only other footballer who can run him close in the Welsh Hall Of Fame was John Charles (The Gentle Giant).

Exceptional footballer. Lowlife in other respects.

I guess old bacon chops meant he is physically an exceptional human being, which is fair enough.

Pretty bloody amazing what he has done (on the pitch).

Manchester United Greatest Ever Side Reebok Advert

Not sure if Giggs is still sponsored by Reebok, but it would be a perfect time to trot this advert out again if so!

If Giggs is "An exceptional Human Being " what does that make David Beckham ?

He should have huge plaudits for his work in making more people shop at Sainsbury's, for pushing back the boundaries of hair and shaving conventions, add to that, all he has done in international relations by bringing football to Man Utd, Real Madrid the USA and France. His ability to do as he is told by corporate sponsors and complete whole sentences containing the sponsors names is immense now after a few years of shaky starts.

He made people think it was OK to name their kids with ridiculous names and feel no guilt and has boosted tattooist's takings across Essex.

Now thats what I call exceptional.

It's an amazing achievement, but perhaps it says a lot about the dominance of Man Utd. They can afford to use his experience in 15 or so games a season because they're so strong. None of the other top 6 clubs would start him in their line ups because he's no way near good enough and hasn't been good for many a season, but as a squad player he's very handy. Experience of winning games and producing at crunch times when the pressure is on. That 's what he provides.
