Just found this photo as I was tidying out.

Anyone on here responsible for this?

If I remember right, they came out with some green 'paint' and tried to obliterate it before the game.:salute:

on a serious note, that was a real scandal when we were only allowed to use that small proportion of the east terrace.

When I fell down the bottom bit of the terrace ( from where the crowd are on the picture) against Blackburn, they closed the terrace just after that.......the terrace was crubmling and crap though

My memory of this is vague, but I seem to recall a couple of my mates did this.

I know they broke in to the ground one night and did something to protest and I'm pretty sure it was this.

I don't think they read this site so they wouldn't be able to confirm.

Brings back just how angry we all were, puts struggling a bit in league 1 in perspective for me.

Indeed, there was so many times we'd just be so p!ssed off all sorts of people would do things out of character. A couple of my mates got arrested at work for the pitch invasions.

How Archer and his clown of a monkey didn't get brought to rights i'll never know.

Just out of interest do your mates first names begin with S and J?

I only ask because I have a similar vague memory of hearing a story about 2 mates breaking in and doing this ...

The mists of time may have confused my poor old brain though.
