..cos I am so busy !!!! I have only just go around to watching The Royle Family Christmas special.

Before Dave and Denise's wedding Dave's dad was described at best as a benefit cheat on a disability allowance and Jim always moaned that he wasn't going to contribute to the wedding and called him hopalong.

However in this latest episode David Snr (wonderful portrayed by Tom Courtnay) appears to be fairly middle class in appearance and discusses what he did prior to retirement........spoilt it for me.

It was actually the first time I've laughed out loud watching it.

Elvis, all those Number Ones and it was a number Two that killed him.

not surprised you didn't laugh Harty. I should imagine Love Thy Neighbour was more your cup of tea. Or a bit of Bernard Manning, eh?

Actually didn't like Love Thy Neighbour, didn't find it funny, as for Bernard, regardless of his content even the likes of Ben Elton and Stephen Fry have paid tribute to his comic timing and joke telling.
