Whilst there was a very good turnout for the service with representatives from both Sussex county and Sussex Sunday league football, and also a few notable face’s including Barry Lloyd & Dean Wilkins.

There was no official representation from Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club.

For someone who gave his everything for the club for more than 30 years I find this incredible disrespectful and absolutely disgraceful.

For me this action speaks volumes about the current people running the club.

Is Barry Lloyd not a club employee then?

Yes, but he was there as a personal friend and went of his own accord, not as a represenative of the club, there wre a few other employees there who attended "individually" but the club did not send any official reprsentation. I.e anyone from the board, commercial etc.

By the seaside in West Somerset
perhaps they felt they were represented by those mentioned.
did they send flowers

disappointing if the family feel in any way let down

I don't want to start a binfest over such a well-loved man's funeral but to be fair to the club, they not only gave Ron Pavey a very nice tribute in the programme recently but also the one minute's silence and the eulogy from Paul Samrah was very respectful.

That's hardly disgraceful behaviour by the club.
