I’m sure when I was a kid 80’s-90’s it was called paper scissors stone.
Was it just me? Have I misremembered?

Growing up in the 90s-00s I always called it Rock Paper Scissors.

Incidentally, I've heard of it being called Scissors Paper Stone, but not Paper Scissors Stone as you've written it. Apparently that's the order they put it in New Zealand though. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_paper_scissors#Names

We used to play nine handed on the proper old-fashioned buffet cars from East Croydon back in the good days. Don't think I've played since.
