It's a pity that so much pressure of overblown expectation has been put on Jake when, in reality, he is not quite the Albion's Michael Owen, or some new Peter Ward.

Despite the hype, and with his slight build, he may find it tough to establish himself at this level. None of that is his fault, of course. We should all wish him well, but avoid slagging him off for not amazing us with a Zamora-matching performance this year. Or next.

Great news for the Albion. Lets hope he starts to make more of an impact in front of goal now his future has been sorted.

Anyone else think that it is odd that we are offering 3 year contracts to players when we still don't know whether the club has a future? Or perhaps we do and someone's not telling. Here's hoping for a positive outcome soon.
