Surprised no one has mentioned the fabulously vomit-inducing Patch Adams yet.

Actually, no I'm not surprised.

And I'm wondering why I've bothered...

Planes Trains and Automobiles 8.5 - the best comedy film ever made imho
Agreed.
I must've seen that film 20 times, and it STILL cracks me up. My all time favourite comedy. It also spawned a line that I quoted in the pub on the way back from Hereford 97 that seemed to fit the circumstances perfectly.

Remember the bit where Del had just driven their hire car the wrong way down the freeway, and got sandwiched between two juggernaughts coming the other way ? Absolute carnage, the car is wrecked, they barely escape with their lives. They pull up on the hard shoulder, and as they survey the damage, Del is chuckling to a still traumatised Neil after their near-death experience:

"Ha ha ha haaaa. WOW !! I mean that was CLOSE !! We can laugh about it now, we're alright....."

That was EXACTLY how I felt about that Hereford match. "We can laugh about it now, we're alright" is my abiding phrase for that horrifying day.

OK, you had to be there.
